This is our traditional American Baptist Church service which includes time-honored and contemporary hymns sung by the congregation as well as an anthem sung by our church choir. Weekly parts of worship in the Sanctuary include the responsive “call to worship,” the Lord’s Prayer, Scripture readings, a children’s chat, prayer time that includes our joys and concerns, and a thought-provoking sermon by our interim transition pastor Rev. Dr. Thomas McKibbens that will challenge you to leave the sanctuary and be the church. Prayer partners are available for anyone who would like personal prayer after the service.
We observe the practice of Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Christ’s table is open to all who wish to participate.

We encourage our visitors to attend for a few weeks to see if Greenville Baptist Church is right for you or to try our Dinner Church if you’d be comfortable with something more informal. This service is on Thursdays and meets in our lower hall from 6:00-7:00 pm in person. Please call 401-949-1134 to be sure Dinner Church is running the week you’d like to attend.
